Daily Makeup Update
As promised, I’ve decided to do a daily makeup update. I did a regular daily makeup post here and then a vacation post here before. I always find it interesting to look back at my previous posts and see how my choices have changed. There’s been some constants but also some big changes.
So, what am I up to now? I start off with eye drops! It’s allergy season and boy can I look rough in the morning with this cool, pollen filled air all around! So, those are my first thing every morning. I absolutely love the allergy formula (brand or generic).
Second up is my Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light. I love this stuff! I’ve raved about it before and will again. It’s pretty much perfect in my eyes. I love that they give options for everyone as well. I use the light formula because I have extremely oily skin but there’s many others. Next, I sometimes use Dermalogica Concealing Spot Treatment if I have any real problematic areas. It’s a great spot treating formula that doesn’t leave any weird residue behind that affects your makeup.
Next up is the love of my makeup life… Diorskin Forever Flawless Perfection Wear Makeup. I went on about this back a few months ago after my Bahamas vacation and I’ve been using it since. I know it has a pretty steep price tag but I promise it is worth it 100%. After using this, I sometimes throw on some Boi-ing by Benefit for some extra coverage in places.
Also, I use to always use a setting powder but after starting to use NARS bronzing powder in Laguna I haven’t needed to. Laguna is the perfect bronzing shade for me and it has a matteing quality to it so i don’t have to use any extra powder. For awhile I tried to use a powder and it actually made things worse. Next is NARS Blush in Orgasm. I love that stuff as well. It’s the perfect shade and I’ve been using it for awhile now and still haven’t hit pan! I’m impressed. Sadly my Laguna is not the same and I’m trying to get the most of what I can out of the corners for now.
Last thing is the eyes. On a daily basis, I usually don’t wear eye shadow. As I’ve mentioned before I’m pretty lazy when it comes to getting ready and I’m all about short cuts so I usually skip on the eyes. The two things that are a must for me though are using a brow pencil and mascara. My brow pencil of choice right now is Ulta’s basic brow pencil in dark brown and sometimes if I’m feeling extra special and want to splurge I’ll get the Benefit’s Instant Brow Pencil in medium to dark but I honestly think they work almost the same. As for mascara, I’ve loving Maybelline Volum’Express One By One Mascara in Blackest Black 255 right now. I’m all about drugstore mascaras and this one is a great one. I throw this on and then brush through my lashes with Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara Mini to get a really great full look.
