Drugstore Haul
Wow, I have a lot of beauty posts set up in the next week or two! I go in stages where I barely buy any beauty items… then I buy every single thing in my sight. Ops! Anyways, here’s what I’ve picked up lately and how I’m feeling about things so far!
Above I have a new hair towel which is similar to this one. I couldn’t find the exact one online but it’s from Target. I absolutely love these towels and have used them for years! I also purchased three different colors in the Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow. I purchased the Bold Gold a few weeks ago and then picked up the Bad to the Bronze and Too Cool later on. I really like all three and I’ve been playing around putting them all on together. It’s a great product and really does last longer than most shadows… not too sure about 24 hours though.
I picked up the Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Liner in Clear as well. I had never heard of a clear lip liner until recently and knew I had to give it a try. I really hate lip liners. Maybe because every time I even think about lip liners I think of girls that wear 5 shades too dark with nude lips. Yuk. I just can’t stand the thought… but this little stick proved to be a little different. You can barely tell it’s on when you apply. Maybe it’s just me but I really don’t see the difference when I wear lip liner vs when I do not… I’m still on the fence about this purchase. Also, this was not easy to find!
Another Maybelline item I decided to try was their Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Sation. I’ve used Maybelline everything pretty much and love their Dream line but really was turned off by the thought of the Dream Blush… to my surprise I actually enjoyed this a lot. It applies nicely (even with a brush) and the days that I’m not feeling NARS Orgasm I reach for this!
Next up with another Maybelline product, their Volum’Express One By One Mascara in Blackest Black. I love Maybelline. I love mascara. And I love love love Maybelline mascara so I knew this would be win … and it was! It could possibly be my new favorite and it definitely has all of the others running!
Lastly, I bought the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer. I’m not usually big on under eye concealers and rarely find one I enjoy. Sadly, this one didn’t do the trick either. It was actually a great concealer but I have large pores, oily skin and by day two of using this I was actually breaking out until my eye area! That’s a no go for me…
My last four purchases were all lipstick. I’ve been growing a pretty big collection lately! I picked up Maybelline ColorSensational High Shine Lipcolor in Fruit Punch, Revlon Super Lustrous – Creme Lipstick in Primrose, Revlon Super Lustrous – Creme Lipstick in Temptress and Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Candy Apple. Fruit Punch is a great, bright pink that I think will be a wonderful transition to fall from the neons we’ve been seeing all summer. As for Primrose and Temptress, they are perfect every day colors. The last, Candy Apple, may be my favorite of them all and is absolutely perfect for fall and winter! So, there you have it my most recent drugstore haul!
