May Birch Box
It’s Birchbox time. Unfortunately, this month was another let down… it’s really not looking too good for the future of Birchbox and my relationship. At all. Luckily for them, Glossy Box made some major errors on my account and I’m currently pretty ticked off at them as well. So, moral of the story… maybe beauty boxes and I aren’t meant to be? Such a sad story…
First item up is Ojon Restorative Conditioner. Funny thing about this product? I already have it. And a TON of it at that. My mom purchased it on auto-delivery for me awhile back and I have at least 3 full size bottles. So, this did not excite me – at all. It’s a pretty good product but seeing that I already had so many full size bottles I didn’t even open it up. Maybe I’ll save it for a future vacation?
Next item up was FusionBeauty LipFusion Balm Lip Conditioning Stick SPF 15. It seems like a great lip product but in all honestly it didn’t come off as anything special. Also, I’m known for having a 1,001 different lip balms, glosses, etc. at a time so I really didn’t need another one to add to my collection.
Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream was the next item I tried and it was pretty decent. Honestly, I felt like this box should have come mid-winter. It had a great conditioner, lip conditioner AND hand cream. It’s spring (going into summer) Birchbox! Give me some products I can use now! So, with that little rant, I thought this was a nice hand cream but since I do have oily skin naturally I won’t be using this for another 6+ months…
Lastly, there was a small sample of Arquiste Flor y Canto. I’ve been sitting here trying to find a nice way to put this but I can’t think of anything other than – EW! This was disgusting. Horrible. Just horrible. I’ve said multiple times before that I can usually find the best in most fragrances but no way. It went straight into my “Things to sell” bag.
Well, I hate to be so negative and such a downer but I always promise true reviews and you got it today! haha. Anyways, here’s to hopefully a much better Birchbox in June!
