April 2012 : 101 in 1001

It’s that time again! 101 in 1001 wrap up for April! I’m super excited for this post this month, unlike previous posts before, I feel like I accomplished a lot of fun and exciting things on my list that I actually did not plan on checking off this soon! So, here we go…

54. Start a recipe collection of my personal favorites {Completed}
As I’ve stated the last few months, this has been a work in progress. First, I thought I was just going to use my Pinterest board but then later last month I decided that I wanted an actual physical recipe collection. So, after some debate, I finally have one! I printed these adorable recipe cards and decide to place them in this Anthropologie basket, which I’ve been eyeing for some time now. My original inspiration for this idea came from another pin here!

50. Spend an entire day at the beach
I originally planned on accomplishing this during the month of April. Although I did spend a good amount of time at the beach on Great Stirrup Cay, I’m not going to count it for my 101 items. By spending the entire day at the beach… I mean it. Get up, grab a quick breakfast (or even pack one) and spend a relaxing day at the beach! So, even though I spend about 4-5 hours on the beach, snorkling and even had a BBQ lunch, I’m going to hold off on checking this item off!

63. Get a massage (preferably at the Borgata) {Completed}
While on my cruise last month, I decided to get a hot stone massage! It was great and I highly recommend it to anyone! I was a little sore afterwards but after a day I was back to new!

71. Swim with dolphins {Completed}
What’s even better than just swimming with dolphins? Swimming with dolphins in the Bahamas! For more information and videos, check out my entry here.

97. Try MAC cosmetics {Completed}
This has been a challenge of mine for some time now! I’ve always wanted to give MAC a try and until recently the closest MAC counter was 4+ hours away! Which is just crazy. But, recently after hearing about some MAC lipstick I would like to try I decided to go check their site again for locations… and what do you know! They opened a new, small, counter at a Macy’s only 2 hours away. Again, I figured it’d be awhile before I got there. Luckily for me, I had a work meeting at that mall and had to take a trip up there this month! So, I decided to give their lipstick a try! I actually made a post about it here.

And, of course, those weren’t the only things I worked on this month. Some others included watching 3 new movies to add to my list (#83), checking out some future DIYs for #84 and planning some recipes to add to #85! And don’t forget, for my complete 101 in 1001 list, go here.
