Matte

Typically matte polish is a hit or mess with everyone. I have mixed feelings. Every once in awhile I’ll see an amazing matte manicure and know I just have to try it, but that’s rarely! There’s something about after doing my nails when they’re shiny and pretty that I just love. Wow, does that ever make me sound girly! Oh well! Anyways, for those times I’m feeling in the matte mood, I have these two little gems! The far left is OPI Lincoln Park after Dark (an all time favorite shade but in matte form) and the second is China Glaze – Matte Magic (Over Pure Ice – Black Rage). I really enjoy China Glaze’s Matte Magic because it doesn’t make me commit to any specific colors. I think it works perfectly for me because I can turn any polish in my collection to a matte if I wish to do so… and it works really well too! I know other brands like OPI and I believe Essie now have these matte top coats as well but at the time this was the only one available to me. Either way, if matte is your thing or maybe you just want to give it a try I highly recommend either of these.
