101 goals in 1001 days

I originally got the inspiration from Melissa Jill and I’ve since seen it on various other sites. So, I thought why not now? A new year… might as well kick it off with some bucket list items! I’m hoping that maybe if I write/blog this then it’ll get the ball rolling on some things! My 1001 in no particular order.

  1. Do not color/cut (except for a trim) my hair
  2. Finish 4 of Keri Smith’s books (including a new Wreck This Journal)
  3. Blog at least once a week on Vanilla and Rose for a full year
  4. Find a new apartment
  5. Get healthy/in shape
  6. Take a vacation by myself
  7. Organize my closet & keep it that way
  8. Go skiing
  9. Read at least 40 new books {1/40}
  10. Learn to knit
  11. Pay off all of my college debt
  12. Get a dog
  13. Learn Lightroom software
  14. Become a full time photographer; become my own boss
  15. Visit NYC again
  16. Try something from Sprinkles Cupcakes
  17. Get over 250 likes for both Vanessa Reed Photography and Vanilla&Rose on Facebook
  18. Redesign Vanessa Reed Photography website
  19. Crochet two blankets
  20. Wake up before noon everyday (except during Floorsets at work)
  21. Get headshots done for my websites (from an inspiring local photographer)
  22. Watch a full movie series in one day (HP, Twilight, Star Wars, etc.)
  23. Try everything on the Starbucks menu at least once (except dairy choices)
  24. Make a rainbow cake
  25. Photograph a wedding proposal
  26. Donate to a non-kill animal shelter
  27. Make it to 8 years as a vegetarian (1/30/2014)
  28. Mail a letter to a stranger
  29. Learn more about BatWorld.org
  30. Go to Hawaii
  31. Grow my own food
  32. Visit a walk through aquarium
  33. Go to Hogwarts in Florida
  34. Read 4 classic books
  35. Get a passport {Completed 3/2/12}
  36. Buy a new car
  37. Go to bed before midnight for a full month
  38. Go to a zoo
  39. Read all books currently on my shelf
  40. Go to Canada on vacation
  41. Watch baby turtles hatch
  42. Make a Christmas breakfast

  45. Not log into Facebook for a whole week (disable phone as well)
  46. Enter a photography contest
  47. Visit Chicago and try their pizza
  48. Send Christmas cards
  49. Participate in an ornament swap
  50. Spend an entire day at the beach
  51. No mall food for an entire month {Completed 3/1/12}
  52. Save 4 months pay
  53. Learn to drive a stick shift car, well
  54. Start a recipe collection of my personal favorites {Completed 3/2012}
  55. Make taffy

  57. Complete 2 Wii fitness challenges
  58. Organize all of my important papers
  59. Learn more about wolf sanctuaries (and visit one?)

  72. Get featured on a popular blog for my photography

  74. Try playing the violin or flute again
  75. See Britney and/or Demi in concert
  76. Complete 5 weddings
  77. Take photos of Christmas lights in my neighborhood
  78. Get a tattoo
  79. Do one photo shoot at least once a month (with or without models) for 6 months straight
  80. Find a beekeeper to raise a queen bee and produce honey for me
  81. Visit 4 new states (and not just drive through them)
  82. Eat organic, naturally raised meat for one day
  83. Watch 50 new movies (Try different genres) : {12/50}
  84. Complete at least 10 DIY projects from my Pinterest {6/10}
  85. Try at least 25 new recipes from Pinterest {12/25}
  86. Participate in a Bridal Expo for VRP
  87. Spend an entire day at Nay Aug or a similar park.
  88. Visit Washington, DC {Completed 3/17/2012}
  89. Finish Gossip Girl books {4/12}
  90. Go to Boston
  91. Get rid of at least 50 things once a year (A total of 150 things during this project) {50/150}
  92. Drink 8 glasses of water every day for one week {Completed 3/27/12}
  93. Minimize my beauty products by at least half
  94. Track my purchases (except necessities) for a full year
  95. Find my signature fragrance (or 2 max.)
  96. Buy a FEED bag or purchase something from Herifer.org
  97. Try MAC cosmetics {Completed 4/2012}
  98. Complete a new photo project (Possibly a photo/hour)
  99. Create a photography portfolio
  100. Learn how to make macaroons
  101. Sponsor a child

The best part about my list? I’ve already started some of my goals and I’m only 3 days in! I hope that with this list I can go back from time to time as a little reminder of the different things I’m trying to accomplish.
